Grace Gathering Level Two Ministry Form

Thank you for your interest in serving within the ministry of Grace Gathering. Here at Grace, we have three different involvement levels of ministry participation. The Bible teaches that the congregation at large is responsible for fulfilling the needs of ministry--everyone working and serving together within the body of Christ. However, people are at various spiritual levels and commitment levels. Because of this, Grace has outlined the following three levels of ministry commitment:

Level One: These are entry level ministries. These are ministries that do not require spiritual oversight and do not require high commitment levels. These are positions where new people can get their feet wet, serve in a ministry, and start to meet other people. These positions require responsibility and may require certain giftedness but do not require a specific spiritual benchmark.

Level Two: These are intermediate level ministries. These ministries do contain spiritual oversight. Therefore, these positions should be filled by believers who are growing in their faith and demonstrate a certain sense of spiritual maturity. These positions also usually require a little more time commitment than level one positions require. These positions should be filled by those who have gone through the Welcome Class, have decided that Grace Gathering is their church home, agree with the basic doctrine and vision of the church, and who are accountable to the spiritual oversight of the leadership. (note: those working with “at risk” people such as children, youth, and elderly, do require criminal background checks)

Level Three: These are positions that require an even greater degree of spiritual maturity, time commitment, and accountability. These positions are filled by official positions or offices in the church such as elder, deacon, and staff members.
