Welcome to the Scattered Church

I magine what it would be like if you were consistently growing in your relationship with God, had a community of people around you who felt like family, and were seeing coworkers, neighbors, friends, and family members experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus. This is the call of the Church.

There are two expressions of the Church in Scripture: the gathered and the scattered. The Gathered Church meets on Sundays for worship, teaching, and response together. The Scattered Church are smaller communities of people living like family and practicing the lifestyle of Jesus together in everyday life.

If you’re new, this 9-week experience will introduce you to the core DNA of life with Jesus and with the Grace Gathering family. Get to know people and leaders, experience Alpha (an open conversation about life and faith), and explore these 5 areas:

  1. Hearing from God
  2. Living like Jesus
  3. Becoming an Everyday Missionary
  4. Participating in the Gathered & Scattered Church
  5. Joining our City Vision

Groups & Communities

Ranging from short-term Bible studies to long-term friends-who-feel-like-family, Groups and Communities are the expression of the church throughout the week. With the help of practices from the life of Jesus, we pursue three main areas:

  1. Growing in our relationship with God, wherever we are on the journey.
  2. Prioritizing one another by doing things like spending time together regularly, eating together, praying for one another, and more.
  3. Finding creative ways to love, invite, and invest in people who don’t yet know or follow Jesus.

Classes

Go on an in-depth journey to grow in a specific area of life with Biblical principles, practical tools, and a group of people to support you along the way. Classes are offered 2 to 3 times a year, and often cover topics such as:

  • Finances
  • Parenting
  • Marriage and Pre-Marriage
  • Topics in Scriptural Studies and Theology
  • Leading a Missional Community
