Parents: We are updating our safety protocols for your kids

By February 20, 2019 March 11th, 2019 No Comments

During the weeks in March, we’ll be making some updates to our Children’s Ministry safety processes in New Haven. We LOVE your kids, and, in addition to their spiritual growth, their safety is our top priority!

You can view the new policies and procedures in detail in the document below (and we encourage you to do so if you’re a parent), but in a nutshell, what you can expect on Sundays is to see a new volunteer who will be standing at the entryway of each of our children’s ministry hallways. This volunteer will be monitoring who goes into our hallways. To get into the hallways (whether to drop off or pick up kids), you must show your check-in tag. Also, all volunteers will now have lanyards to identify who is working with our students.

On March 17th, we will have a meeting after each service to go over these policies and procedures.

To be clear, this is not in response to any issues that have happened. It is to be prepared in all future instances to keep your children safe.

Of course during the transition we expect some hiccups, but we’re confident this will be worth it in the long run, so please be patient with the leaders over the next several weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Zach Ziino, who would love to talk about it with you. Thank you for helping make this transition a smooth one!!
