Serving is a great way to get connected, and it’s an important part of the life of the church. Read through all the different ways you can join in.
It’s important to us that everyone has multiple opportunities to connect to God and God’s family. The Connection Team includes door greeters, Connection Center hosts, room hosts, and café workers. Their primary focus is Sunday mornings and other events.
Worship and Tech
The worship and tech team exists to create environments for communities of people to encounter God and freely respond to Him in spirit and truth. This includes people who can sing or play an instrument, or run live sound, lighting, or video.
We want to raise kids who live and lead like Jesus. We need people who will love on and invest in kids from babies to fifth graders. Most opportunities take place on Sunday mornings. Learn more.
Ultimately, we want to see God’s kingdom lived out in our middle and high schoolers. We need leaders who will disciple kids to live and lead like Jesus. Weekly gatherings take place either Sunday nights or Wednesday nights, plus other times. Learn more.
Our Prayer Team helps to create a culture of encountering and seeking God. Many people serve by praying for people during the service on Sundays, praying on Wednesday nights, and leading/participating in monthly prayer nights. Learn more.
Everything we communicate contributes the vision of Grace Gathering. We want to share stories, ideas, and content creatively through web and social media, photo and video, and graphic design.
When we host special events or someone in our church community experiences a sickness, death, or other difficulty, we want to be hospitable with Christ’s love. This team joins a contact list to help with events and provide things like meals, small gifts, and other helpful items as we serve one another.
In New Haven, our building is taken care of in large part by volunteers who mow, landscape, clean, take care of the kitchen, and support our facilities manager. We also have people who help decorate the interior during special seasons like Christmas and Easter.
So many small but very important tasks are carried out each week by this amazing team. We have people who help stuff gift bags for new people, process Connection cards, input information, support the youth ministries, and more!
